MacBook Screen Repair Warranty

60 day limited warranty on internal LCD panel replacements

Warranty Coverage

At MacBook Screen Repair Sydney we provide a 60 day limited warranty on internal LCD panel replacements. This warranty covers the replaced component and our workmanship for 60 days from the date of repair completion.

The warranty applies to both LCD only replacements and full display assembly replacements. If something goes wrong with the panel we installed or the work we did within the warranty period bring the MacBook back and we sort it out.

What is Covered

The warranty covers defects in the replacement component and issues arising from our workmanship. This includes:

  • Defects in the replacement LCD panel or display assembly
  • Issues with the installation work we performed
  • Dead pixels appearing within the warranty period
  • Backlight failure of the replaced component
  • Connection issues related to our work

If the screen we installed develops a fault that wasnt caused by new damage we repair or replace it at no additional cost within the 60 day period.

What is Not Covered

The warranty has exclusions. Certain types of damage and issues are not covered because they result from events after the repair rather than defects in the work we did.

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Physical damage occurring after repair
  • Liquid damage occurring after repair
  • Impact damage or drops
  • Issues unrelated to the replaced component
  • Damage from accidents or misuse
  • Problems with other MacBook components

The warranty covers what we replaced and the work we did. It doesnt cover new damage that happens after you take the MacBook home. If you crack the screen again or spill liquid on it thats not a warranty claim.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with a screen we replaced within the 60 day warranty period bring the MacBook back to us. We inspect the machine to determine whether the issue is covered under warranty.

For a warranty claim we need to see the MacBook in person. We check whether the issue relates to the work we did or the component we installed. If it does we repair it at no charge. If the issue is caused by new damage or something unrelated to our repair then its not covered.

What to Bring

Bring the MacBook along with any repair documentation or receipt if you have it. We keep records of repairs done so we can verify the repair date and what work was performed. The warranty period starts from the day you collected the MacBook after repair.

Warranty Period

The warranty runs for 60 days from the date of repair completion. The start date is when you pick up the MacBook after the repair is finished. We track repair dates in our system so we can verify whether a claim falls within the warranty period.

After 60 days the warranty expires. Issues that develop after this period are not covered under the original warranty regardless of the cause.

Limitations

The warranty applies only to the screen repair work we performed. It does not extend to other parts of your MacBook. If other components develop issues those are separate from the screen repair warranty.

The warranty doesnt cover consumables or normal wear. It also doesnt cover issues caused by software, operating system updates or other non hardware factors. Its a warranty on the physical screen component and installation work.

Important Notes

The warranty covers repair or replacement at our discretion. We decide whether to repair the existing component or replace it with a new one based on what makes sense for the situation.

Warranty work must be performed by us. If you take the MacBook elsewhere for additional repairs that can void the warranty on our work. Any tampering with the display or housing we installed voids the warranty.
