LCD only replacement means swapping just the internal display panel while still keeping your original housing. Metal frame stays, camera stays, cabling stays. We remove the damaged panel and fit a new one.
This repair is available when the housing meets eligibility requirements. No dents, no bends. No liquid exposure. The 16 inch panels are expensive so LCD only saves alot when the housing is eligible.
Full display replacement is necessary when the housing has damage. Dented frame, bent corners, liquid exposure around the display. These mean LCD only wont work properly.
With full display replacement we swap the entire lid assembly. As such its a bigger repair. True Tone may not work after because Apple ties this to the original display.
